Baptism Today

We are so excited, Our oldest Jacob was baptised today July 29, 2007. We are so proud of him, he has been asking us if he could be baptised for about 1 year now and we have been putting it off just to make sure he fully understand what it meant. Well today when we got to church he said I want to get baptised today, so we said O.K. We felt as if he really was ready and today he was his spiritual birthday. We hope that our families and friends will read this and see the pictures.
Today is also a big day for Elexis, she decided to ask Jesus into her heart. She decided that she loved him and he loved her and that she wanted to ask him to live in her heart so I (her mother) had the privilege of leading her through the pray of salvation. Her Daddy was happy for her although sad that his beautiful wife got to lead both children in that wonderful pray in his absents. I know that both my children's hearts are pure and right on but we continue to pray that they will see the truth and light that only comes from Jesus it is far to easy to be lead astray.

It's kinda funny as much as we would love for this to mean there lives will all of a sudden be changed in a visible way, like they wont fight anymore, they will always put each other first. So on and so on it doesn't really happen that way, they are still children and human, they will still talk back and have to be reminded that isn't the way your talk to your parents or any adult, they will still fight with each other and get put in time out. But now they are covered with the blood of the Lamb and able to share with other how they are covered by Jesus love.

I have to share one last thing that I thought was great. Out of the mouth of babes, Jacob about 4 or 5 months ago was yet again talking about baptism and expressed that he didn't think he wanted to be baptized because if he had to go into the baptistery that everyone else got there sins washed away in wouldn't it make him more dirty because he would get everyones sins on him. We had a nice talk about how the washing away of his sins wasn't done by the water that was a symbolic washing away the real washing away of his sins was done by Jesus. I totally can see where he would have thought that by listening to us adults. Well as I promised I'm done have a great week and maybe write a quick comment about how your baptism changed your life. I will in another post.

Diaper Cake

I'm so excited a good friend of mine had this brilliant idea to make a diaper cake for a baby shower, for a friend of ours. So we made this adorable diaper Cake it was cute, cute, cute. I would encourage everyone to try this it was so easy and fun. Ours is a little bigger then we originally intended but it was well worth the work.

The MEME

I've been tagged with a MEME, I'm not totally sure what that is but my blogger friend was tagged by her bloggy/Siesta friend at the ConnorColesmom blog. The Meme is to list five reasons I love Jesus...
1. I love Jesus because he's consistant, if you read his word he says what he means and he means what he says. Jesus loves each and everyone of us and he has a plan for our life, that is what he says. Sometimes we are unsure of what the plan is but he loves us and I couldn't even try to plan my life as good as he can.

2. Jesus is my comfort I love Jesus because when my life hit a low, when I fall into my man made pit he is there to love me and comfort me and most of all give me the courage to take his hand and help to get out.

3. I love Jesus he teaches me how to love and how to have compassion for others. He teaches me everything I need to know about myself and about how to love others.

4. I love Jesus and God because as you read the bible you see the range of emotions that he has and as a women I see that I can be upset, sad, happy, tired, scared, lonely, as well as many, many more emotions and it's o.k. and even better that is how God intended it to be. God wants us to have emotions as lone as we don't let them control us.

5. Lastly but not least not to sound like a broken record with the others who have done this meme,I love Jesus because he sacrificed his own life so that I may live for him and that is what I intend to do. I live a life that will make him proud to have given up his life. I had a great mentor that use to say all the time Jesus doesn't what us to die for him he wants us to live for him and that is how I want to live my life and to teach my children to live there live.

So there is my MeMe. I hope that I've pleased God.
I unsure of who I'm going to tag but I will let you know I only have a few people I know with blogs so stay tuned.

Traffic

I've only been blogging for a short time, and to be honest I'm usually so busy I don't have a lot of time to check out a lot of new blogger sites. I try to spend a couple hours each day but I have to admit that I don't get to it everyday life carries me away from the computer frequently. I'm blessed to have a friend who blogs and she always tells me sites I should check out. Like the Dog days of Summer site that just had the give aways. I've gotten so much traffic from that site it's unreal. I've seen some very interesting sites. So for my traffic blog I would like to say Thank you to the 79 people who left comments on my blog. Hope to see you again.

It has been way to long since I've had a post. We have had a very busy July I'm not sure where it went. I know one thing My hubby and I went to a beautiful wedding in July and were blessed to see some of his relatives. We are getting ready for VBS coming up and that has taken a lot of time for me. Jacob starts football on Monday he is 7 and in a Pee-Wee league HIS Idea I have to say. We let the children participate in one activity at a time and up to this point once a year. Now that they are getting older we may up that to two a year, but for now we like having a brake in between sporting seasons. I have to say that I was happy, happy, happy when he wanted to play football because I love it and I think he would be good. I hope that everyone is having a great summer so far talk to you all later.

Summer

I can't hardly believe that summer is already a whole month into it already, 30 days down, 60 give or take to go. It has gone so fast. We still have some things we need to get done this summer. My hubby and son went canoeing this last weekend with some friends, and then to the city Museum in St. Louis. I will post some picture when I get them. My daughter, Grandma, and me spent some time at a all day scrape booking crop, until my daughter went to a friends house to play. It was fun. I didn't get as much done as I would have liked but I had a great time. A good friend of mine went also so we had a great time together. Well I will hopefully have a couple nice Pictures for you soon. Have a great week and holiday.
